Bird Head Son

Anthony Joseph is a dazzling poet, also a Trinidadian. His collection Bird Head Son  (Salt) was launched tonight at the Koha Cafe, central London.

I fall into a mesmerised stupor when Anthony reads: it’s calypso meets jazz, meets a fusion of electrifying words. When Anthony reads he has the soul of Trinidad in his voice.

Frizzle-neck fowl. I love those words on the page.

He must be one of my favourite poets.

Congrats, Anthony.
